Area Agency on Aging
The North Central Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging provides seniors in Kansas with many services such as:
- Assessment and service coordination for older Kansans (60 and over) who need in-home services and help to maintain their well-being in their homes and provide support to caregivers
- Help people of all ages who seek counseling in making health insurance choices including Medicare and Kan Care.
- Offer options to Kansans of all ages when health declines or disability occurs
- Providing seminars and trainings on end-of-life decisions and other legal matters for the public
- Providing seminars and trainings for staff at local centers
- Providing help/referral for job seekers over the age of 55
- Providing regional assistance on HUD rental assistance to low-income Kansans
- Providing meal programs to provide nutritional, balanced meals to the senior population whom are enrolled by assessment and/or to others who attend the senior centers by meal reservation.
