Being able to survive after a disaster means having your own food, water, and other supplies in sufficient quantity to last for at least 3 days. A disaster supplies kit is a collection of basic items that members of a household may need in the event of a disaster. Since you do not know where you will be when a disaster occurs, kits should be prepared for home, work, and car.
