NOTICE OF CLOSING VOTER REGISTRATION BOOKS
BEFORE THE PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY ELECTION
March 19, 2024
In compliance with the provisions of K.S.A. 25-2311(c), notice is hereby given that on the 20th day of February, 2024, the voter registration books for all voters in Morris County, Kansas, will close, and will remain closed until the day after the Presidential Preference Primary Election to be held on the 19th day of March, 2024. All those residing in said County must be registered to vote prior to the election date and may do so at the following places at the times specified.
Voter Registration Sites
- Morris County Clerk's Office, 501 W Main, Council Grove, Ks, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Division of Motor Vehicles, Morris County Treasurer's Office, 501 W Main, Council Grove, Ks, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.
- Morris County Health Dept., 221 Hockaday St, Council Grove, Ks, during regular business hours.

A citizen of the United States who is 18 years or older or will have attained the age of 18 years at this election, must register before he or she may vote. When a voter has been registered according to law, the voter will remain registered until the voter changes name by marriage, divorce, or other legal proceedings, or changes their address or residence. The voter may re-register in person, by mail or other delivery when registration is open, or may re-register on Election Day.
Application forms shall be provided by the County Election Officer or the Secretary of State upon request. The application shall be signed by the applicant under penalty of perjury.
