  • Conceal Carry Permits

The Morris County Sheriff’s Office accepts concealed and carry applications Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. To ensure your convenience and expedite the process, please call (620) 767-6310 and schedule an appointment to submit your application. Depending on the availability of personnel, unscheduled walk-ins may experience lengthy delays.   • VIN Inspections

The Morris County Sheriff’s Office provides VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) inspections as a convenience for our citizens.  VIN inspections are needed when a vehicle is purchased with an out of state title.  The State of Kansas will not issue a title for a vehicle with an out of state title without a VIN inspection.

The Morris County Sheriff’s Office does not provide inspections for non-highway titles, non-branded titles, salvage or previous salvage titles.  For these situations, you will be referred to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

You will need the following in order to have your vehicle inspected:

The title for your vehicle.

Driver’s license.

Vehicle (Must be physically inspected)

$20.00 cash

VIN inspections are typically available during daytime hours; however, inspections are dependent upon the availability of sheriff’s office personnel. For less wait time, please call and make an appointment at (620) 767-6310.

  • Finger Prints

Requests for fingerprinting can be made over the phone or in person. To ensure the availability of an Officer to take you prints it is recommended you schedule an appointment by calling (620) 767-6310.

Tuesday -  closed

Wednesday - 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Thursday - 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Friday - closed

Sat. & Sun. - closed
